July is one of the warmest month. Gozo, being a small island keeps relatively humid all year round. Having a high humidity and high temperature will make you feel tired easily. As a result, it is recommended to drink plenty of water and wear sunglasses and a hat. If you feel unwell, get out of the sun.

What are the best beaches in Gozo?
It is not a surprise that the most famous beach in Gozo is Ramla bay. Known for its red sandy dunes, Ramla Bay has turquoise clear waters. The beach is less than 5-minute drive from Il-Barrag Farmhouse B&B. Infact most guests prefer to walk to the beach and enjoy the countryside scenery along the way. Due to the bay’s international fame, you can expect that the beach will be crowded during the vacations period.
Gozo offers only two sandy beaches, and following Ramla Bay, is San Blas Bay. As San Blas Bay is part of Nadur village, it is very close to Il-Barrag Farmhouse B&B as well. The narrow steep road that leads to the bay is a bit challenging. Infact there is a small car park above the bay. Being small in size and less accessible than Ramla Bay, it is less crowded and offers a more relaxing swimming experience.
What is the main feast in Gozo for the month of July?
Saint Gorg feast takes the pride of the feasts during July. It is celebrated in the town of Gozo, Victoria, or as better known by the locals Rabat. The feast is celebrated on a number of days. Each day with its own procession and statue. The streets will be heavily decorated with religious statues ornaments and lights. Most of the celebrities start in the evening, and many locals and foreigners attend the procession. Fireworks show takes place with colourful mortals illuminating the dark night sky. Several local sweet vendors will be at the feast.
Weekend activities in Gozo?
The Gozo calendar is always full of activities for the summer months. At the village of Nadur, live entertainment is organized every Saturday late evening. The event takes place at the village main square infront of the imposing basilica. The main square is just 1 minute by walk from Il-Barrag Farmhouse B&B. Consequently, our guests can walk to the entertainment place with no need of transportation and parking issue. The entertaining program varies in style and certainly amuses the gathered spectators. In addition, it gives an opportunity to the local to practise their talents in front of an audience.
