Il-Barrag Farmhouse B&B is an accommodation like no other. The building in itself is a legend. It is composed of rooms which were build in different ages, dating back to the 1600s.
The structure is a showcase of the mastery in Maltese architecture. Composed of stone arches, timber beams, high stone ceilings and more. Only knowing that each and every single stone had to be cut and square shaped by hand leaves everyone breathless.
The premises has been recently renovated by the hosts. After a 7 year meticulous restoration, Il-Barrag Farmhouse has opened its doors to travelers showcasing its beauty and unique antique features.

The B&B House rules:
Our traditional bedrooms are equipped with eco-friendly air conditioners for the best comfort.
All essential are provided without any extra fees. These include linens, a selection of pillows, towels, body soap, shampoo, hair conditioner, and body lotion.
Each unit has its own private en-suit bathroom in traditional rustic style complimenting the bedroom.
One can enjoy his favorite movies and tv series on Netflix streaming.
Il-Barrag Farmhouse B&B offers free high speed wifi connection throughout the property
The following House rules are set for the benefit of all guests residing at Il-Barrag Farmhouse B&B to provide the best local experience.
- Check in starts at 15:30 and ends at 19:00
The guest is to contact the property with an estimated time of arrival, at least 1 hour before arriving for check in. We operate an unmanned reception. Failure to advice the property may cause you excessive delay for check in.
- Check out is between 7:00 and 10:00
Late checkout has to be booked in advance as reception will be closed outside normal check out hours. Kindly note, late checkout is subject to availability and is at a fee of 15€. - Quiet hours are between 22:00 and 7:00.
- A la Carte breakfast is served 8.00 am – 9.30 am. We offer a selection of breakfast, all from local produce and home made as much as possible.
- The lounge is available for all guests and one may find refreshments. A refrigerator is also available.
- Shall your reservation include meals, be informed that food may contain traces of egg, fish, meat, milk, nuts, shellfish, and soy.
- A prepaid, non refundable reservation deposit is necessary when booking to secure your reservation.
- Full payment of your reservation (less the prepaid deposit) is due in cash at check in when you arrive at the property.
- As stipulated by the Eco Contribution Act (Cap.473) an environmental contribution of 0.50€/ person/ night has to be collected in cash at check in, separate from other payments.
- For Environmental purposes and Sustainable Travel, Il-Barrag Famhouse B&B has installed PV Solar Panels to generate electricity, which currently supply 80% of the total annual usage. To minimize energy wastage, guests rooms are equipped with eco air conditioners which works with a consumption meter taking 1€ and 2€ coins.
- The property is Non-Smoking
- The B&B is child free, and persons under 16 are not allowed.
